If injured seek immediate medical attention:

Often individual’s delay seeking proper medical attention due to the false impression that no serious injury resulted

Obtain witness information

Always gather as much information from witnesses

Photographing the scene of the accident is crucial to preserve what actually happened.

 

TIPS ON AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE

Liability Coverage:                

 Does nothing to protect you in the event you are hurt-protects the other person in the event you are careless or at fault and injure someone else 

Collision Coverage:         

Pays for repairs to your vehicle in the event it is damaged in a collision regardless of who is at fault

Medical Payments Coverage:

 Commonly referred to as “Med Pay”. Will reimburse you or any persons in your car for any medical expenses incurred as a result of an automobile accident, regardless of who is at fault in causing the accident.

Comprehensive Coverage:

Coverage available to cover damage to your vehicle in the event it is damaged as a result of an occurrence other than a collision

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage:

Uninsured provides coverage in case the person at fault does not have any insurance coverage to compensate for injuries

Underinsured applies when the other person does have coverage but not enough to fully compensate you for your injuries.
